Compulsory Basic Training (CBT)
This is the first step towards getting a full motorcycle license :-)
Service Description
The CBT allows you to gain the basic foundational skills required to ride a motorcycle safely. Once you have reached the assessed standard laid out in the CBT syllabus (Element E) you will be issued a CBT certificate valid for 2 years. From the age of 16 this entitles you to ride a moped with L plates and from 17 years old you can ride a light motorcycle with L plates. Moped (AM) = 50cc, 28mph maximum design speed. Light motorcycle (A1) = Upto 125cc 11kW/15hp. All thats left after this is to get out there practice and have fun.
Cancellation Policy
# Course Booking & Cancellation Policy **Course price: £250 per person** We understand that sometimes plans change and that unexpected circumstances can arise. We will always try to be reasonable where there is a genuine problem. At the same time, course places are limited and a booked date is reserved specifically for you. Our cancellation policy helps us manage those bookings fairly and ensures that everyone is treated consistently. ## 1. Booking and Payment A **£75 booking payment** is required to secure your course date. The remaining **£175 is payable on the morning of your course, before training begins**. Your booking is confirmed once the £75 booking payment has been received. ## 2. Cancelling or Changing Your Date ### 7 or more days' notice If you need to cancel or change your course date and give us **7 or more days' notice**, we will normally be happy to help. You can: * transfer your booking to another available date at no additional charge; or * cancel your booking, in which case the £75 booking payment will normally be retained. ### Between 48 hours and 7 days' notice If you need to cancel or change your booking **less than 7 days but at least 48 hours before your course**, the £75 booking payment will normally be retained. Where possible, we will offer you the opportunity to move your booking to another available date. A **£75 rescheduling fee** may apply to cover the additional administration involved in making a late change. ### Less than 48 hours' notice Cancellations made **less than 48 hours before the scheduled start time** will normally result in the £75 booking payment being retained. The outstanding £175 course balance will **not automatically become payable**. Where possible, we will try to fill the cancelled place with another customer. ## 3. No-Shows If you do not attend your course and have not contacted us beforehand, the £75 booking payment will normally be retained. The outstanding £175 balance will not automatically become payable. If there are exceptional circumstances that prevented you from attending, please contact us and we will consider the situation reasonably. ## 4. Genuine Illness, Injury or Emergency We appreciate that genuine emergencies can happen, sometimes at very short notice. If you are unable to attend because of an unexpected illness, injury or other genuine emergency, please contact us as soon as possible. Where appropriate, we will normally offer a transfer to another available
