Service Description
Who is the CBT for? Anyone over the age of 16 with a valid UK provisional/full licence that wants to ride a motorcycle on public roads. What do you need in place before conducting a CBT? Make sure you have a valid UK provisional licence/full UK licence. You must bring this document with you on the day of your CBT. If you have a paper licence you must also bring your photo passport. Do I need to do a theory test? Currently no. What should i bring with me? Wear some trousers made of a tough material for example denim/leather. Wear some tough shoes for example, walking boots or work boots. Waterproofs recommended. We have an onsite restaurant it's great please feel free to have lunch there or bring a lunchbox. What will Wingman Provide? A fully taxed, insured and road legal motorcycle. A helmet, Jacket and Gloves. What can I do to prepare and increase my chances of completing in a single day? Be proficient at riding a bicycle. It teaches balance and you can also practice road craft for very little cost. What will completing a CBT allow me to do? Once you have completed your CBT to the required standard, your certificate (DL196) is valid for 2 years. Age 16: You can ride a moped up to 50cc. Age 17+: You can ride a motorcycle up to 125cc and 11 kW (15 bhp). You can ride either a geared or automatic motorcycle, regardless of which type of bike you completed your CBT on. You must display L-plates, cannot carry passengers and cannot ride on motorways. You are free to ride on all other public roads and build your experience as a learner rider.
Cancellation Policy
Course Booking & Cancellation Policy Course price: £249 per person Booking deposit: £49 per person We understand that plans can change and unexpected circumstances can arise. We will always try to be reasonable where there is a genuine problem. Course places are limited and once booked, your place is reserved specifically for you. This policy helps us manage bookings fairly and consistently. Booking & Payment A £49 booking deposit is required to secure your course date. The remaining £200 is payable on the morning of your course, before training begins. Your booking is confirmed once the £49 deposit has been received. The deposit is normally non-refundable if you cancel, subject to the circumstances below. Cancelling or Changing Your Date 7 or more days' notice: You can transfer your booking to another available date at no additional charge, or cancel your booking. If you cancel, the £49 deposit will normally be retained. Between 48 hours and 7 days' notice: The £49 deposit will normally be retained. Where possible, we will offer you the opportunity to transfer to another available date, subject to availability. We ask that you give us as much notice as possible, as this gives us the best opportunity to offer your place to another customer. Retaining the £49 deposit for late changes helps cover the loss of that booking opportunity. Less than 48 hours' notice: The £49 deposit will normally be retained. The outstanding £200 balance will not automatically become payable. Where possible, we will try to fill the cancelled place with another customer. No-Shows If you do not attend and have not contacted us beforehand, the £49 deposit will normally be retained. The outstanding £200 balance will not automatically become payable. Illness, Injury or Genuine Emergency If you cannot attend due to unexpected illness, injury or another genuine emergency, please contact us as soon as possible. Where appropriate, we will normally offer a transfer to another available date. We will always try to be fair and reasonable in genuine circumstances. Changing Your Booking All date changes are subject to availability. Please contact us as soon as you know you need to change your date. Repeated date changes may be treated as a cancellation and a new deposit may be required. By paying the £49 booking deposit, you confirm that you have read and understood this cancellation policy.
